Firstly, I hope that you all had a relaxing summer and have had chance to recharge your batteries ahead of what promises to be another scintillating campaign here at the Moss Rose.
There has been a plethora of changes behind the scenes, not least the arrival of Mark Yates as First Team Manager and everybody at the Football Club is excited to be under two weeks away from our EFL return.
You will also be aware that I have acquired the role of Media Manager at the club and this is something which I am incredibly proud to have.
Having been a supporter for more years than I care to remember, I am truly humbled to have been asked to take on the role and as such, I would like to convey my thanks to Mark Blower for giving me this unique opportunity to work for the club I love.
Although I have only been at the Football Club for three weeks, there is incredible amount of work to do to ensure that you, our loyal fans are provided with the best possible media content across all relevant platforms.
I will be keeping you updated regarding all the projects that we are working on throughout the season – but rest assured that I will be working day and night to do the best I can for the Football Club.
So, what have I being doing for the past three weeks?
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who has expressed their opinions on the new matchday programme. It is one which I am proud of and from the reaction to the inaugural issue which went on sale last Friday, it has gone down well with the fans.
Further to this, I decided that we should offer a digital programme for the forthcoming season and this went live yesterday.
It offers people around the world the chance to own a copy of the programme from the comfort of their own home and was something which I wanted to implement as a matter of priority.
I am aware that those who don't have a PayPal account may face certain issues in terms of downloading the programme – rest assured, this facility will be available imminently.
Secondly, we will be meeting with the EFL next Friday to discuss plans for our new website template which needs to be implemented following our epic promotion last season.
Clearly, this will require a lot of work and fine tuning – but I am really excited with what we have in store for the new season.
In addition to this, I have an eclectic range of ideas and concepts which will be rolled out over the course of the season - with the sole aim of giving you the very best media coverage possible.
