Goalkeeper Shwan Jalal has been an ever present this season as the new look Silkmen side have gelled and improved, climbing their way to the top of the National League table.

He spoke to SilkmenTV about the season so far, both for the team and also on a personal level.

“There is always room for improvement, there are a couple of things we need to work on and the manager has already said that but we are happy with how it is and we just need to keep on improving and look to get better and better.”

“Obviously I had a couple of mistakes in games but I am glad to have sorted that out and the last few games I feel like I am back to my old self again and it is great to be a part of a team that is winning at the minute. Personally, I just want to be a part of it and keep kicking on.”

Next up for the Silkmen is an FA Cup tie away to Stourbridge, and the team is looking to continue the impressive start to the season.

“The boys are confident at the minute and we just want to keep that winning run going.”
